DELAWARE VALLEY WOODCARVER SHOW (April 5th and 6th)
A GREAT SUCCESS for some of our North Jersey Carvers!
New Jersey Woodcarver Ted Slawenski did particularly well...and his lovely wife Irene made the front page of the local newspaper, the Bristol Times Courier!
Our Junior Carvers did us proud as well...
Ginny, Mike and Tommy watched tables, fetched, carried and soaked up all kinds of new traditional skills. They were really enthralled by the woodturning demos.
Ginny and Al Litz (the goodwill ambassador for the day and a favorite among the other carvers) hit it off particularly well...
...and the flower carving torch has been successfully passed to the next generation....
Pr Drumm explored his Bristol Roots...the first time back since 1932!
All the kids, both the young and "not so young" enjoyed the many demos going on at the tables throughout the weekend. Teri Hislop spent most of the time explaining the inner workings of kaleidoscopes that can be inserted into small carvings.
DON'T FORGET...OUR 2008 SHOW DATES AND LOCATION ARE DIFFERENT!!!
(DETAILS IN THE APRIL NEWSLETTER...)
Here is a teaser from the results of our October Show at the Parsippany, New Jersey PAL...more to come from many of our other members as the photos continue to come in!

Tommy and Ginny, junior carvers at their very first show! Way to go, Kids!
Not all carvings are made of wood! These little "goofballs" carved by Teri Hislop, illustrate what can happen when a carver has too little wood and too much free time!

PR Drumm and his Whittled Whimseys!
